Oh my. Getting back in the swing of things after vacation has been rough. Vacation was awesome but exhausting. My fibromyalgia really caught up with me and once home I had a headache for 4 days. After 2 days in bed, 2 chiropractic appointments, 1 massage, and 1 Meyer's IV cocktail, I am finally better. Yeah! I am still unpacking and catching up on laundry. I will blog about vacation later when I have pictures.
But onto big news. We are having ANOTHER baby. I have reached the 13th week and I am finally feeling comfortable announcing it to everyone. Some friends and family have known for a while, but that's it. I have a couple appointments coming up. One with Gayle, a CNM for a risk assessment and blood work. The other with my awesome midwife, Shelley. I've missed spending time with her so much. So I am really looking forward to my appointments. The beginning of this pregnancy started a little strange. We were not expecting it. My cycle was all messed up and my progesterone levels started dropping at about 6 weeks. I was a little freaked out. Dr. Bell's office finally prescribed me the progesterone I had been begging for and did an ultrasound. The baby looked great. My levels came back up. I had another ultrasound at 9 weeks and the baby was wiggling all around. I still am battling nausea. Other than tiring easily, I am doing great. I can't wait to hear the baby's heartbeat next week. Just for some peace of mind. We have decided this time to find out the sex of the baby. With 2 babies so close together, I need as much time as possible to prepare. It is a bittersweet decision. I love the mystery. I loved going into labor not knowing. I loved bonding with "my baby." Not knowing whether it was a he or a she. I wish I could not find out. That it didn't matter that I have so much to do. That these babies were not SO close. It will all work out. God never makes mistakes. So sometime in September, an ultrasound will confirm that we are having another boy! Ha! ha! That's my guess. We will have to wait and see. I am hoping to find out before the Growing Kid's Sale. There is so much great stuff there. So many clothes!!
Scot and I are headed to Branson tomorrow for business/getaway trip. The kids are staying behind. I can't wait to spend some time with my husband!! Alone! No interruptions! Yeah!
