I know I am a bad blogger. But months? I actually haven't posted in months?! What's wrong with me?
Well, I will tell ya. Postpartum is what's wrong with me. It's been ROUGH! This last pregnancy and postpartum period have been the toughest by far. Fatigue and sickness are my two biggest complaints. I have had more vitamin IV's than I can count. Well, actually I can count them. I think I've had like 8! In 4 months! Just had one last week and feeling like I could go get another one this week. I am laying in bed finally blogging. The baby will be up any minute. So this post needs to be short and sweet.
Baby girl just turned 4 months. She is rolling over. Sucking her 2 middle fingers of her left hand. She had been sucking the knuckle of her right pointy finger last month, and the month before that still sucking a soothie paci. Now she just sees the paci as a another toy to play with and bite on. And the knuckle... well she just prefers the two fingers. Whenever, I lay her down, which she also prefers, she kind of rolls to one side and props her little leg up. So cute. I must get a picture. She coos, babbles, giggles, and smiles all the time! She's yummy, content, and just delightful. She's predicatable, which I love and just an absolute joy. She's a great nurser. Although, right now she can't decide whether to nurse or stare at me. Ahhh, I'm in love. She nurses a little, pulls away to bore a hole in my soul with her milky smile and then goes back to eating, only to repeat. Bliss! She eats every 4 hours. Sleeps from about 8:30 till 4 or 6am. She just went through a growth spurt the past couple of days. So we had to nurse every 3 hours and she got up at midnight and 3 am. She was HUNGRY! But she's over that and back to her normal, happy go lucky self.
And Benjiboy, well let's just say the picture above was not a fun day! Fell off... bike. That's exactly how he says it. Hurt teef. Poor boy. He fell off his bike, hurt his face pretty bad, but hit his teeth really hard. He chipped one of his front teeth and we spent three different days going to the dentist to make sure he was ok. We are still not out of the woods. He has another appointment in 6 weeks. But the roots are intact and so far his teeth have not changed colors. Praise Jesus!! In other news, he is talking up a storm. He speaks in 2 to 3 word sentences about everything. Loves Thomas the Train. LOVES IT! Just got a train table for his birthday, along with a John Deer riding toy. He is finally sleeping well in the crib we put up for him. We added a fan and a night light and that seemed to do the trick. His favorite book is, The Little Mouse, The Big Hungry Bear, and The Red Ripe Strawberry. Birthday pics will follow in another post. He can kick a ball, climb stairs, RUN, feed himself with a fork and spoon, drink from a cup with a straw, name his trains, put on his Crocs, and put them away. He is saying too many words to count, and learning too many words to count. He can count to 5. He counts higher out of order, which is adorable. He can point to all his body parts and name them. He loves cars as much as trains and could live outdoors. What can I say? He's all boy!
Ok, as I expected baby girl is awake and cooing. : )
