A busy week
It's been a fast week. I can't believe we are already to Wednesday. Monday we ran errands and shopped and the girls helped me clean out their closet. I was able to finish the girl's room. That was a huge load off my mind. Abby said today that it was her "dream room." That made me feel so good because I have had this idea in my head forever and finally got to see it come true. Their room is so cute. I need to take pictures. Tuesday the kids were thrilled to find out it was April Fools Day and wanted to know who they could trick. Abby called daddy and said, "hi daddy, how can we trick you?" I laughed so hard. By the end of the day I helped them "trick" daddy when he got home. They wanted to pretend that we hadn't cooked dinner and we all begged to go out for pizza. In reality we had cooked poppy seed chicken, mandarin salad, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Daddy went along with the trick, saying we couldn't go out for pizza and said we would just have peanut butter and jelly. Then Abby yelled April Fools! They laughed and laughed. We had a "romantic" dinner...that means we had candles. : ) The girls helped me prepare dinner in honor of me and daddy's anniversary. They each said a special prayer for us. Dinner conversation was precious. We talked about the power of prayer. Avery commented on how long she had to pray for our baby and then it happened. Abby said, "I keep praying to have a baby and it hasn't happened." I said, "that's because you aren't married." She didn't even look up from her food and said, "oh...so that's why my prayer hasn't come true." It was so hard for me and daddy to keep a straight face. She was soooo serious! Avery giggled and went on to inform Abby how she has to be a grown up and "be like 23 years older than your kid, and you would only be like 5 years older than your kid." Dessert was so yummy and my heartburn is getting better. Today, I did laundry, we got school work done, and studied for Awanas. Abby's verse has taken her a week to learn. "God gives food to all flesh, and His mercy endures forever." Psalm 136:25. She was so proud of herself to finally master it. Avery is counting down the days to her 8th birthday. ONLY 11 days to go!!

Hi! I can't leave comments on your other blog, but I am reading it. Such sweet stories. I love the April Fool's joke. :)
