Our 2 month doctor visit was yesterday. I made Scot go with me because of the vaccine discussion. I knew with him there that they would be less likely to argue with me or start saying crazy things. It went well. The nurse practitioner was very polite and listened really well to my reasons why Ben is not getting shots. I had to sign a waiver. That's a new one, but the nice thing is they will see it in our chart each time. I think I'm going to keep appointments with the NP so I don't have to explain at every visit why he is not getting shots. Benjamin is HUGE!!
Here are his stats since birth:
Birth 8lbs10oz 21 3/4in long
1 month 11lbs?oz
2 months 14lbs 1oz and 25 1/4in long
He is off the chart in height and 95th percentile in weight! The NP said he was as big as a 4 month old. Don't I know it. He is already wearing a size 3 diaper and 3-6month clothes fit him well. I sure haven't gotten to have a newborn for long. Although, developmentally he is right on target. So he still needs me for everything! He is just big. More to love. : )
And in other big news at our house...Abby lost her 2nd tooth in a month!! It has been taking forever for her to lose her first tooth. She turns 6 in August. So when she finally lost the first one on accident opening a bottle with her teeth, we jumped for joy. Now the second one came out in the same month. The same day she mentioned it had gotten wiggly was the same day it fell out.
The tooth fairy left her a decent amount of money this time. $4. Her first tooth only got a dollar. We thought there had to be a mistake. Grandpa's tooth fairy sent her $20 to make up for it. And Papa gave her $7. Abby said that Grandpa's tooth fairy is "money in the bank!" Too funny.
