40 weeks and 6 days of:
wondering boy? or girl?....
praying for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery....
talking and visiting with my sweet midwife....
reassuring everyone that homebirth is safe....
Then finally you came!
Dear Benjamin,
You finally decided to make your way into the world on May 28th, 2008 at 9:45pm. You initially took your time letting us know it would not be long. But when the day arrived it took less than an hour for your birth! Miss Shelley almost missed it. She made it for the last of the contractions. I just wanted to get in the water...it was all I could say to her and daddy. Once I got in the water, it was less than 11 minutes and you were born. It one of the most precious moments in our life. I took one look at your sweet face and started crying. Miss Shelley was saying, "what is it?" Daddy and I pulled back the towel. You had your legs all wrapped up tight with the cord between them. We had to do some rearranging and daddy cried, "It's a boy!" What an unforgettable moment that was. You weighed an incredible 8lbs and 10oz. You were 21 and 3/4 inches long! You were and still are a big, adorable, chunky monkey, boy. We are so happy you are here. We love you so much!

this makes me want to cry! I am so happy you guys were so blessed with your beautiful, healthy, baby boy. Parky will teach him so many things! We love you Benjamin and cant wait to watch you grow up!
