It's resolution time!

Scot and I have taken the time to make our resolutions and our goals for our family for 2009, so I sat down with the girls to hear what their resolutions would be. On their own, this is what they came up with.

Abby:
spiritual goals
*obey everyday
*pray everyday
school goals
*do what her speech therapist says
*learn more about animals and visit the Tulsa zoo
gymnastics goals
*do a backhand spring by herself

Avery
spiritual goals
*work to not lose her temper..."at all"
*have quiet time with the Lord everyday
school goals
*do better in language
*learn more about animals and visit the Tulsa zoo
*start a nature journal and write down her observations
gymnastics goals
*do a dismount from the beam with her toes pointed
*do a round off backhand spring on the floor without a spot

I was really proud of them both. They thought really hard and I know that each resolution was sincere. I was really surprised that they on their own identified the spiritual aspects that their dad and I felt they should work on without us telling them. God is definitely working on their little hearts.

Last night, on our way home from dinner, we had to give an astronomy lesson. The girls had a ton of questions about planets, stars, the cycle of the moon. It was funny. Avery, at the end of the conversation, says, "I'm like a moon biologist!" Scot and I laughed, "you would be an astronomer." Scot said, "I think I like her being a moon biologist."

Kids are so fun!
