Blogging without pictures...

One of my most favorite things about reading blogs is... well, pictures. I especially love the unbelievable talent of some people who take just the most amazing pictures all the time. The people who are photoshop savvy and leave a feast for the eyes. And the cream of the crop, are the blogs that are prolific writers to boot.

Well, this is not one of those blogs. I am barely having time to take photos, let alone upload, edit, and share. So my few, sweet friends just get to continue reading about my life in good old fashioned black and white. One of these days I will have a new photo... one of these days.

But not any day soon. Because.... I am busy! Busy chasing a 16 month old who can crawl so fast, but refuses to walk. I know he can do it. I watched him take his first steps last week. He likes speed. Walking, because he doesn't ever practice, is slow going. He is a great communicator though. He uses lots of sign language. Want, more, please, thank you, all gone. The very important things. The signs that keep him from screaming. Which he is so naturally inclined to do at this age. He talks a lot. He loves balls. So he says: baseball, basketball, soccer ball. He yells Abby!! All the time. He says: Avery, GG, Papa, doggie, dude, play, eat, cracker, snack, nana (banana), apple, daddy, Scot, mom, mommy, momma, me, bat, go go, car, bye, and adds sometimes a new word every day. He stills plays with his hair and sucks his thumb. He thinks touching Scot's hair is funny, because it is stiff with gel. He has ticklish feet and a ticklish tummy. His neck is super yummy, as is his dimple and blue eyes. He still has red in his hair, enough that people ask where it came from. So the walking will come. Soon I'm sure.

The baby is in it's 23rd week of development. We have decided to name her Aubrey. So I will refer to her by her name. She is doing what all babies in the 2nd trimester do.... gymnastics in my tummy. Well, she is not quite that active. But she has her moments. Like my bedtime. : )

Avery and Abby had a fun trip to the dentist to have some cavities filled. Got to have a Sonic shake for lunch and go with the homeschool group to see a performance of Charlotte's Web. We had ice cream with the Hoelzemans at Chick-fil-A and a nice, not quiet dinner at home.

Avery is gearing up for gymnastics competition starting on the 24th, and Abby just earned her silver level!!! Woo Hoo! She worked so hard for that! I am so proud of her.

Our birth story was just published here! That was a fun surprise.

So all is well... and boring with no pictures. : )
