Getting back to reality

I'm so tired. Bone tired. Overwhelmed and tired. With entirely too much to do. We just got back from our last vacation of the summer. We went back to Destin. Just us. Mom, dad, kids. And of course my other adopted child, Brittney. Oh how I wish she really did belong to me. Having her made the trip marvelous. Otherwise, I think it would have been exhausting. It was also awesome to get to catch up and spend time with her. She's been gone for the summer and my life hasn't been the same. The joy of spending time with someone who eats even healthier than me. What a pleasure. She enjoyed the famous shopping trip to Publix grocery store as much as I did. Gotta love that. She oooed and aaahhed with me over every fabulous organic offering. Bliss. She was my right hand woman. I love you Brittbry!

The kids did what they do best swim and eat. Claim they were bored anytime we stopped for a moment to rest. Babies woke up lots at night and Benjamin needed antibiotics. They acted like kids and it was great. Scot was able to take each girl out for breakfast one morning and he and I got to go on a couple of dates. We found a fabulous frozen yogurt shop and went there everyday! Yummy! Me and Brittbry took the girls to see Ramona and Beezus. It was everything I hoped for. Funny, charming, clean! I could not get over how much Abby is like Ramona. Abby laughed harder than I have heard her laugh in a long time. We are definitely buying that movie. We took the kids to the gulfarium. Can't wait to post pictures of that. We arranged to fulfill Abby's lifelong dream of petting and feeding a dolphin. She got to do that and get the dolphin to do tricks. Could not wipe the smile off those girls faces. The experience solidified for Abby her desire to be a dolphin trainer. We will have to send her to some type of Sea World camp in the future. The kids got to ride go carts, play at the beach and the pool. And eat lots of frozen yogurt and yummy food. It was wonderful. We drove home in one day and that was unheard of for us. We survived. But my body is paying for it now.

Now it's back to reality. School planning, unpacking, purging stuff and getting ready for the growing kids sale. House cleaning, school room organizing, finally packing up my maternity clothes after 2 years of being pregnant. Just so much to do.

Aubrey Jean turned 6 months while we were on vacation. So a whole post dedicated to her tomorrow after her 6 month check up.
