Benjamin is 10 1/2 months!

*UPDATE:I captured "the look!"

I missed blogging on his 10 month mark. I have had great intentions, but as soon as night comes I'm wiped out and my brain just shuts down. It's afternoon and I am working to catch up on all that has been missed. So now he is 10 1/2 months old! We took him to Tulsa right after he turned 10 months. He did great on the car ride and great sleeping in the hotel. We did have a scare when he ate some white powdery substance off the hotel floor. I was so freaked out. I called poison control and saved some of it in a baggy. Hotel management showed up at our room pronto. We all guessed and investigated. Scot and the manager tasted some of it and as it turns out we believe that it was lime build up that fell out of the hotel iron. Prior to setting him on the floor I had scoured the place looking for anything he might put in his mouth and the floor was clean when I put him down. So by process of elimination, it had to be the iron. We were relieved and the hotel called later to check on him. In other 10 month news... both bottom teeth are through and now his top right tooth has made it's debut. He crawls everywhere!! Fast! He learned to pull to a standing position and just this week he is starting to get brave and attempt to cruise around the couch. He is talking more and more. He has learned how to say Bob and Papa. He made the "e" sound yesterday. So I am hoping he starts saying "daddy" and "mommy." He still says; dada, mama, baba, gg, and mom. We have continued to teach him sign language. He waves bye-bye, which he did early on around 6 months and then just stopped. So it's fun to see it return. I imagine the "more" sign is what he will do first, as that sign is reinforced often. The boy can eat! He is still nursing a lot and taking in about 1 to 2 jars of baby food. This doesn't include bread, crackers, Gerber Puffs, tiny pieces of carrots or chicken, or other table food that we feed him. He has quite the personality. His favorite "trick" is raising his eyebrows. He does it for EVERYONE. We have to clue them in so they can say "Yea!" and clap for him. If we ever say "Yea!" or clap for some other achievement, he immediately raises his eyebrows. It's hilarious. I keep trying to capture "the look" on film. Does he ever love his sisters. I am so grateful for all the help they give and love they show to him. He is joy. Pure joy. He is fun and funny and cute and cuddly. I love him soooooo much!
