Scot and I enjoyed a wonderful time in Tulsa for our 12th anniversary. We had a sweet baby boy in tow, but it was a great time! We ate a lot... Cheesecake Factory (Chocolate Coconut Cream Cheesecake!! Yummy!), Wild Fork, and Ted's. For us, getting away is all about the food. Fort Smith leaves a lot to be desired. We went to Utica Square and took pictures of Benjamin in a cute outfit from Pottery Barn Kids. The hotel had a dance competition going on. Little girls everywhere. But they were with their parents and very behaved. Scot took me to some consignments shop and a I got a great pair of jeans and an adorable coach bag. I just can't bear to pay full price for one!! Yikes. I love to read and I always think... "do you know how many books you could by for that?"
Oh well, I finally found a low enough priced one that was worth it. I love spending time with my husband. The years of work that is invested in making a marriage as God designed it is worth it's weight in gold. We are still working, still learning how best to love God and each other. I am so incredibly blessed. Our time together was so precious. I only wish we could get away more often. I think once a month isn't too much. wink. wink.
