Lots on my mind

Last night, after we put everyone to bed, Scot and I laid down to watch a movie. Abby came to inform us that Avery was crying and wouldn't tell her what was wrong. We had Avery come to our room. I was very concerned when I saw her sobbing. She couldn't even tell me what was wrong. We had her climb up into bed with us and hugged her until she could calm down enough to talk. She said that she was sad because we weren't at her meet. She thought it would be ok if we didn't come, but that when we didn't, she didn't like it. She said that the worst part was us missing her take 1st place in vault. She said when she stood to take first place and couldn't hear us cheering, that it made her heart hurt. Hearing her say all this was making my heart hurt. Poor baby girl. We told her we were so sorry that she felt that way and that we wouldn't have to miss any more meets. I hope that's true. We talked for a long time about the blessing of having a family and how important family was. It was really sweet. Avery also said she felt like we didn't miss her! Abby told Avery how much she had missed her and that she missed playing with her. She said, "I just love you so much. You are so fun to play with. When you were gone, I felt really sad and wanted you to come home." We pretended like Avery had just won 1st place in vault and all cheered for her. She slowly started to feel better and we had a huge group hug. Several actually. One of us will definitely be at the next meet! Or otherwise, I guess she will have to miss it. I hated to see her crying that hard.

So this morning, I woke up with really strong contractions. Painful contractions. They were coming pretty frequently so I stayed home from church. I got up and got moving around and they are much easier to deal with. They seem to be coming pretty regularly, but if I start timing them, I will make myself crazy. I have decided to clean and do laundry. Both, desperately need to be done. I am feeling a bit under the weather. My throat kind of hurts. So I am trying not to over do it. I wish baby day would come soon for Avery's sake. Her next meet is Feb. 6th. It would be nice if the baby could at least be a week old.
