More sickness and surgery

Both babies have colds. Not. Fun.

Both are on antibiotics. Thank. You. God.

Benjamin had his tube surgery on Friday and once in surgery the doctor decided that his adenoids did need to come out. He did well after the surgery. He was in pain and had some swelling and bruising. The pain medication worked well. Once they let us leave the hospital, I spent the day at home trying to keep him comfortable and happy. Which meant ice cream, Elmo in Grouchland fifty times, and lots of hugs and kisses. Scot and I had planned on a date night a couple of weeks ago, but by the time that evening came I was exhausted. He told me I still needed to eat. So we headed to Outback. Dinner was really nice. They were bringing samples of food and drinks while we were waiting for our table. That was a treat. And it was good to get out of the house for a little while. We came home and Brittney put all the kids to bed for us.

Saturday, Scot was precious and took the bigger kids so I could sleep in with the baby. We were getting very little sleep and Saturday night was even worse with both babies up and crying most of the night. Aubrey is miserable with this cold and cutting her top two teeth.

We finally made some progress on this long to do list we have going. We got the blinds put up in the kitchen and laundry room. Yipee!

Sunday was church and out to lunch at Olive Garden. The kids and I made and decorated cupcakes. The girls have a dream to have a cupcake business. They discovered it's going to be a little bit tougher than they thought.

Tonight, we went to celebrate a friend's birthday. We ate yummy pizza and had ice cream cake for dessert. The kids played and had so much fun. Benjamin entertained us with singing what else, but Elmo songs!
