Benjamin is 9 months!

Our cutie pie has had a rough month and lost a little weight but he is on the mend. We had to see the doctor twice last month for a double ear infection. He has been fighting two different colds and now he is getting one of his bottom tooth. We went for his 9 month appointment today. He is 19lbs 6oz and 29in. Last month he was a little over 20lbs. I need to work at fattening him back up. But he is really tall! He is an active little baby. He just started working on crawling forward. He was able last night to put one knee forward then the other. We are all so excited that he is meeting his milestones. Although, each one makes me a little sad. When we left the doctor's office we made his 1 year appointment. How is that possible? I honestly feel like I was just in there and he was 1 day old. I was walking slowly and Avery and Abby were helping me. He looked like a little dot in his car seat... now he is in a big car seat! I can't even use his infant carrier anymore. He is eating cherrios all broken apart, trying to master his sippy cup, pulling up on his crib rails to his knees, and whistling! He loves whistling so much that he can hardly do it because he is smiling so big. I cannot express the joy that my heart feels when I hold him. When I nuzzle his chubby neck. When I take a deep breath of his intoxicating smell. As I hold him close while he nurses and rolls his eyes back in his head. My heart is overflowing with gratefulness. God has blessed us.... our cup runneth over. No matter the cost, or sacrifice of raising children, none compares to the the blessing we receive in return.

Blessed - Martina McBride

I get kissed by the sun
Each morning
Put my feet on a hardwood floor
I get to hear my children laughing
Down the hall through the
Bedroom door
Sometimes I sit on my
Front porch swing
Just soaking up the day
I think to myself, I think to myself
This world is a beautiful place

Chorus:
I have been blessed
And I feel like I've found my way
I thank God for all I've been given
At the end of every day
I have been blessed
With so much more than I deserve
To be here with the ones
That love me
To love them so much it hurts
I have been blessed

Across a crowded room
I know you know what I'm thinking
By the way I look at you
And when we're lying in the quiet
And no words have to be said
I think to myself, I think to myself
This love is a beautiful gift

Repeat Chorus

When I'm singing my kids to sleep
When I feel you holding me
I know

Repeat Chorus

Luke 6:38 (New International Version)

38Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
