Our baby is one today!! Thank you to my friend and awesome photographer, Julie, for the picture above and many others you can see here. We are having a big party for him and my mom tomorrow. I won't say how old she is. That isn't allowed. Benji boy has quite a list of accomplishments.
He can say: bye, bye, daddy, mama, more, (a version of "there it is"), gg, papa, pretty, and ball
He can: cruise around furniture, stand on his own, crawl really fast, wave bye-bye, sign more, thank you, and all done. play peek-a-boo, give you "five," flutter his eyes, raise his eyebrows to flirt, act surprised (love that one), throw a ball really far... ok.. too many more things to mention here
He eats: still nursing, thinks baby food is ok unless it's apples or green beans, loves beans and black-eyed peas, fruit, bread, cherrios, and crackers of all kinds. He's not crazy about egg yolk or bananas. Loves to drink water from a straw. He gets really excited for chicken at Chick-fil-A and rice and beans at El Super Taco. At both places he starts signing more the second he's in the high chair.
Just when you think you couldn't possibly love another child as much as you love the one's you have.... another little one makes their grand entrance and you are completely and utterly head-over-heels in love all over again.
We love you baby boy. You are joy and sunshine. You make our hearts smile and laugh. Your personality keeps us in stitches. We can't wait to see what this next year will hold.
