Getting back to routine...

Summer has destroyed routine. And while that's ok and actually fun for a while, the fun wears off quick. Then you're just left with a messy house, crabby kids, and a tired mommy. I walk around finding things all out of place, science projects in the refridgerator, dust an inch thick on everything, and mountains of laundry. I want routine. I crave routine. I want a clean house with clean clothes, and a frige full of fresh food. At night I want peace and quiet after a home-cooked meal. No more meals from a bag or a drive-thru. Also falling by the wayside... my quiet time and our family bible study. So today the routine returns. With some modifications of course. But I cannot survive another day without quiet time and family bible study. There is nothing else more important than our growth as Christians. And the funny thing is that when our routine begins with these two things, "all the things of this world grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace."

Proverbs 18:9 One who is slack in his work
is brother to one who destroys.

I prefer not to be related to Satan... so the routine returns. : O
