A quiet Saturday morning...

Scot and the kids are off to the donut store this morning. Their Saturday ritual. The house is super quiet and I am in my pj's in bed. Ahhhh! This week has been so busy and so crazy. I feel like the past month has been that way. And I have just been too tired to blog. I don't want to be too tired. I feel like so much is happening and I am missing writing all of it down. I have also been reluctant to post, because I have all these pictures I need to put on the computer and add to the post. I just haven't had time to do that either. So my posts are just going to have to be boring with no pictures.... because I have to write.

Benjamin's birthday was so fun. We went to the Natural's game and Francesca Battistelli was in concert. I love her music. Later in the night we got to go meet her and she autographed our cds. At the game: my parents, my aunts, my uncle Tom, Marie, Clennton and kids, Dean, Mila and kids, and the Hoelzemans. We had ordered Benjamin a baseball cake from Sweet Boutique Cakes. It was delicious. But more than that cute. Again... wish I had pictures on here. They made Benjamin a dairy free cupcake. He really liked it, but was done after half. Which was fine with me. I really dreaded all the sugar. All the kids had a great time playing. They did lots of gymnastics in the grass. Abby actually did a roundoff backhandspring. We were shocked and shouting Yeah Abby!! Benjamin got several toys and goodies. A great 1st birthday.

The next weekend, we went camping at MarVal. Twice a year we go with friends from church. We ate lots of food, the kids fished for trout with Scot, and played from dawn to dark, got SUPER dirty, went swimming, rode bikes, made up skits and handshakes. We had a fish fry one night with the fish that was caught and everyday ate way too much dessert! We really cherish the time spent with friends. Lots of life long memories.

So this past week, Avery and Abby started their new gym schedule. Avery was pumped for her first 3 hour work out. After, her second three hour work out, she could barely move. I think she's handling it all really well. She loves it and can't stop talking about how she loves it. A really big milestone was getting her own locker at gym. She actually is going to let Abby share, but wow is she big stuff with a locker! Abby's class isn't any different for her, but she started swim lessons this week. She is doing incredible. She was swimming like a "super fish" the first day. The lessons have been a huge confidence booster for her. One more week of swim. They also did VBS at Eastside this week. That gave me some alone time with my little man. He's so sweet.

Speaking of little man... he only wants big man food. Ugh! I love baby food. I know he's getting all his vitamins and nutrients that way. I can get little bits down him here and there, but he is hard core into people food. I guess I have to start cooking again. Yuck. Summer just doesn't lend itself to cooking. There are great fruits and veggies though. So I will have to do something.

That's life in a nutshell this week. Wow. I'm really boring. I've lost my writer's edge. I am going to go hunt down my creativity. Be back later.
