Benjamin's surgery went great. He came out of anesthesia like all Shaw kids do... kicking and screaming. Once we endured that for about 30 minutes he was fine. Back to pointing and making Benji faces and saying, "doy." Which kind of sounds like his version of door. I am not really sure yet what that word means. I do know it sounds cute. The doctor said it was time for us to do something. The drainage in his ears "was like glue," doc said. He suctioned it out really well and got his tubes in place. The doc also said, "it was like removing ear plugs," and we should really see a big improvement. I am so relieved I listened to that "gut mom instinct" and took him to see the ear doctor. I pray he can sleep well now and be a much happier baby who is not on antibiotics every month.
This weekend, our great friends the Beards, came into town. We all went to lunch on Sunday to El Super Taco. Yum! In fact, lots of friends joined us and we about about 30 people invade El Super Taco. The food and fellowship was awesome. After lunch, some came over to play and visit. I miss the Beards. I hate they are so far away. But tomorrow they are coming to play some more!!
Saturday, we went to the Natural's game with my family. My Aunt Theresa and Uncle Mark came in town with their two girls. We ate hot dogs and took lots of pictures. I can't believe how the girls have grown. Cailynn was also there and she is a dumpling. She's gotten all chubby and I can always manage to make her laugh.
So I am taking the rest of the day off to relax. Ha! Ha! I am really looking forward to bedtime after getting up at 5am!
